'AGAINST THE LAW' SHORTLISTED BY BROADCAST AWARDS 2018

Matthew Button, LFS Head of Production Design, has had an exciting award show season already. His work on 'Loving Vincent' has been recognised by the Golden Globes, the Academy Awards, and the ADG Awards. Now his production design work has contributed to the television medium.

'Against The Law', a BBC produced historical drama, has been shortlisted in the Best Single Drama category by the Broadcast Awards. Button, who was a production designer on the project, had to recreate1955 England and Wales, for the drama about Peter Wildeblood, an openly gay man living in an era where being gay was illegal. The story follows Wildeblood's personal life and conviction previous to the the Wolfenden report.
