Emre Kayis, the 2013 MA Filmmaking grad, and writer-director of 'The Translator', has been selected for the prestigious Jerusalum-based film lab. Sam Spiegel, which founded the film lab in 2011, has already produced such talents as Laslo Nemes ('Son of Saul') and Nadav Lapid ('The Kindergarten Teacher').

The film lab will take place on the 5th of July through the 8th, where filmmakers will be mentored by accredited industry professionals such as Academy Award winning Israeli-director, Avi Nesher.

Kayis will be one of twelve emerging filmmakers in the program this year. His graduation film at London Film School, 'The Translator', went on to be featured in over 88 film festivals.
