Music
"Music is the communicating link between the screen and the audience..."
So said the legendary film composer Bernard Herrmann. At the LFS we take music as seriously as he did, recognising its importance as a dramatic tool and an integral part of the physical experience of cinema. The school employs a Music Consultant and an Associate Music Consultant who, through classes and consultations, give students a comprehensive view of the ways music can be used in film, a composer's requirements, instruction in music copyright law and assistance with finding the right music for each project. A good proportion of school projects 'commission' music from students at a range of UK colleges and conservatoires.
