Introduction
The High Definition camera is more than ever a viable creative tool. More and more TV drama series as well as feature-length films for theatrical release are being shot in the HDCam format. HD is now a proven technology, an artistic choice as well as an economic reality.
This brand new 5-day workshop explores the artistic and creative potential of the High Definition camera in a full week of demonstration and hands-on exercises.
Cinematographer and HD Specialist Aly Yeganeh will teach participants how to use the Sony 790P and 900R cameras, with an emphasis on mastering image control through manipulation of the camera menus. Over the course of two shooting days participants will learn a vast array of techniques, all of which are currently indispensable for any cameraperson working in HD. This will be followed by a screening of the material and analysis by the instructor.
