LFS Script Club is an evening class open to all those keen to understand the alchemy of screenplay to film in a relaxed non-competitive environment.

For each class we invite one of our regular screenwriting tutors to pick a screenplay they particularly admire and to host an evening of discussion here at LFS.

Everyone who signs up is sent a copy of the script in advance so that they can read it and be ready to discuss it on the night.

We discuss the screenplay from the maker’s point of view – our aim being to understand it's construction and elements, so that we may learn about how to put our own screenplays together.

Each script club is stylistically different, yet all include discussions around key scenes, overall themes and story, using clips of classic, contemporary and rarely screened films. From Renoir (LA RÈGLE DU JEU) to Ramis (GROUNDHOG DAY), our previous clubs will give you an idea of the range of films on offer.

There is no membership – simply sign up for the clubs you want to attend!

There are no prerequisites for attending LFS Script Club - places are offered on a first come first served basis.

LFS is conveniently located in the heart of Covent Garden - meaning there's loads of nearby pubs for those wishing to continue their discussions into the night.

Please note: only excerpts of the films under discussion will be screened at the clubs. The films will not be screened in their entirety.

Times: 6.30 - 8.30pm

Fee: £20 per club
