About

Writer-Director Maja was born in Amsterdam and raised in Israel. She studied Biology at Tel-Aviv University but after spending three months in NY, taking part in a New York Film Academy course, she decided to pursue her love for filmmaking. Maja moved to London and completed her BA in Film & Video at the London College of Communication. After graduating she worked as a writer-director on shorts, music videos and documentaries. Her short Letters to God has been screened at the BFI, ICA and festivals. To take her work to the next level, she started writing features and later enrolled at the London Film School, graduating with an MA in Screenwriting in 2012. Writing both in English and Hebrew, she is currently working on two new feature screenplays and is looking to get them produced.
