MA Filmmaking Tuition Fees

The MA Filmmaking course is made up of 6 terms (trimesters), three terms per Academic Year. More information on Term Dates can be found here.

The fees include productions for the film exercises in Terms 1 - 5 and each student's graduation film in Term 6.

Continuation Fee

Students on the MA Filmmaking programme may be able to extend their studies beyond their Term 6 for two terms.

The following fees are payable by students whose request to extend their studies has been approved:

  • £300.00 Continuation Fee, payable upon commencement of the extension (Term 7)
  • £300.00 MA Administration and Registration, payable upon commencement of the extension (Term 7)

In addition, the following fees are payable for each additional term a student remains enrolled on the course:

MA Filmmaking Enrolment and Advance Fees

If you are accepted on the course, you will be sent a formal offer form via email. The letter includes details about the course, the offer and the next steps.

In order to secure your place on the course, you will need to:

  • Sign and return the registration form which we will send you with the offer letter
  • Send us a scanned copy of your passport (see offer letter for details)
  • Pay the Enrolment Fee of £30.00
  • Pay the non-refundable deposit of either £1,000.00 or £4,000.00* as per your offer letter

Details on how to pay are included in your offer letter.

*Students from the following countries are required to pay a deposit of £4,000.00:

  • China
  • Ghana
  • India
  • Nigeria
  • Sri Lanka

Please note: Students requiring a Tier 4 student visa to enter the UK will not be issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) until the enrolment fee and deposit as per the offer letter have been paid.

Deposit: A £100.00 deposit is payable upon course start by all students. The deposit will be returned to the student upon graduation unless offset against losses or breakages.

It is to be expected that tuition fees will rise by a modest amount to take account of inflationary pressures for subsequent years for all full-time programmes. Any changes to fees will be published in the website and included in offer letters.
