Originally from New Zealand, Angela began her career as an actress and singer, performing throughout New Zealand and Australia in musical theatre, film and TV. She turned to writing full time in 2016. Her screenplays have reached the quarter-finals of The Academy Nicholl Fellowship, and the semi-finals of the Sundance Screenwriter's Lab, the Page Awards and the Final Draft Big Break Competition. In 2015 she wrote, directed and starred in her first feature film 'The New 22', currently in post production. She has a passion for historical drama, adaptations, and character-driven pieces that challenge actors, and is committed to creating strong roles for women. Her ultimate ambition is to be a female Steve McQueen!
