Being British born with a South Asian heritage has allowed me to take the best values from each culture which I have tried to reflect in my work. I recently completed a series of documentaries featuring victims of terrorism. Most notably Hear our Voices which was shown at the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum in New York to dignitaries and diplomats. American Secretary of State Hilary Clinton called the film “...a very moving documentary...” in her opening address. I have never turned down any opportunity to tell a story, whether it be documentary or fiction. After finishing my MA Filmmaking degree I have been able to put the knowledge to use, developing several documentary and fiction projects on subjects as diverse as illegal migration and child abuse.
