Pasak

Pasak

Fung feels trapped. By day, she works a fish stall in the Kuala Lumpur market with her mother-in-law who berates her failure to perform as a good daughter-in-law. By night, she endures her husband's repeated insults. Fearful of bringing a child into a world where she has no self-esteem, she hides her pregnancy from them. One day, as she serves a single mother, Fung is inspired to take a risk for herself and her child in the hopes of a better life.
