The London Film School is strongly committed to music and aims to provide a thorough grounding on the role and function of music in film, preparing scoring briefs and communicating with composers.

In addition to regular music lectures in Terms 2 and 6, students are given the opportunity to collaborate with composition students from two leading international conservatories, the Royal College and the Royal Academy of Music.

A score can make or break a film and students are encouraged to develop working relationships with composers and learn how to brief appropriately. All students are supported by the resident music consultant in developing the score, scheduling and sourcing composers.
