Do you love romantic comedies? Ready to create something heartwarming (and hilarious) in a fun-filled weekend? Join our Rom-Com Weekend Workshop at London Film School and make your very own short romantic comedy in the heart of London’s West End.

At London Film School, we’re passionate about inspiring aspiring filmmakers and film fans alike. This unique weekend workshop is designed for those who love romantic comedies and want to bring the magic of the genre to life. Under the guidance of filmmaker and tutor Tom Ziebell, you’ll learn to plan, shoot, and edit your very own rom-com short film.

You’ll explore the specific ingredients that make rom-coms shine: charming characters, witty dialogue, comedic timing, and heartfelt storytelling. Whether it’s a classic “meet-cute,” an awkward misunderstanding, or a grand romantic gesture, you’ll gain hands-on experience crafting key moments that define the genre.

From storyboarding to production to the final edit, we’ll provide the equipment, props, and costumes you need to create your film. By the end of the weekend, you’ll not only have a completed rom-com to screen in our cinema but also practical filmmaking skills and a newfound understanding of a genre you love. And most importantly, you’ll have fun creating something you can share with family, friends, and future audiences.
