Selection process
The selection process identifies students with a strong chance of successfully completing their course, based on achievements and potential. Applications are processed from the published start date, in the order received, with offers made to applicants scoring highest against the course criteria.
London Film School uses a two-stage selection process:
- Review stage
- Academic Registry checks that all required documents are submitted, including education certificates, references, personal statements, and portfolios (if applicable).
- Documents must be in English, with certified translations if needed.
- English language requirements must be met.
- Quality of portfolio is not assessed at this stage.
- Academic selection stage
- Successful applicants may be invited to an online interview with an Admissions Tutor.
- Interviews may be recorded and are stored securely, accessible only to admissions staff.
- During the interview, the interviewer will explore further the selection criteria with the applicant.
- The focus is to assess your potential to complete the course, based on academic achievements, aptitude, and relevant professional experience (which may substitute for academic qualifications).
Applications and interviews are assessed on their own merits and in comparison with other applicants. All submitted evidence is considered and scored against the published selection criteria. The interview explores these criteria further.
