Ameir Brown

Writer

After spending his early childhood in Jamaica being told Anansi stories by his grandparents, Ameir Brown knew storytelling would be his future. Emigrating to Birmingham at the age of eight he continued to devour books ranging from Alex Rider novels to the Bible and films and TV shows ranging from Dragonball Z to Bullet Boy. He was bitten by the writers bug and began teaching himself how to write screenplays using Google.

Ameir has written for A Thousand Blows for Apple TV, Champion for BBC and Criminal Record for Apple TV.

Eventually the curiosity became a passion and he continued to write throughout college and university, enrolling on the MA Screenwriting course at London Film School, graduating in 2018. Ameir has written screenplays in a number of genres from science fiction, fantasy, drama and comedy.

He has a keen interest stories that seek to shed light onto underrepresented groups and issues and believes in this febrile world we now find ourselves in, stories are the best way to bring people together.
