Eva Trobisch worked as an assistant in the theatre and then in film before studying film directing in Munich, creative writing at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and screenwriting from London Film School. Her debut feature, Alles ist gut, premiered at Locarno where it won the Best First Feature award, followed by numerous other prizes. Her second film, Ivo, screened in the Encounters section of the Berlinale and received the Heiner Carow Prize. In 2024, “Variety” named her one of its “10 Directors to Watch”. She writes for theatre and film and is part of the Trimafilm production company.
