Sue Austen

Sue has worked in independent film and television since 1982, beginning her career at Goldcrest Films before moving into script editing and becoming Head of Development at Granada Films, where she worked on features including Strapless and Joyriders. She went on to co-produce the internationally successful Paper Mask, later working with the European Script Fund before returning to production with television films such as Vicious Circle and the BAFTA-nominated Donovan Quick. Over her career she has produced more than 50 hours of primetime drama for major UK broadcasters and received two BAFTA nominations, and she continues to develop new projects while teaching at institutions including the London Film School, Goldsmiths, Serial Eyes, and Regent’s University.
