There are a number of funding and financial support options available to students on our MA Filmmaking or MA Screenwriting programme.
U.K. or Home status students who are due to start their studies at LFS might want to consider applying for a Postgraduate Master’s Loan.
U.S. citizens or an eligible non-citizen may be eligible for a loan by the United States federal government. More information can be found here: https://lfs.org.uk/full-time-study/funding/us-federal-loans
Applicants might also want to explore options included in The Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding, a website that lists alternative sources of funding - especially charities - which can make awards (fees, maintenance, research costs) to any student regardless of subject, or nationality. If you have applied for the MA Filmmaking or MA Screenwriting programme, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive the access PIN.
There are British Government-funded scholarship schemes available through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, British Council, your Embassy or High Commission in your own country or any of the below links. The application deadline for these scholarships may fall before our selection process is completed, so you should ask if you can make an application in principle even though you may not yet have been offered a place at the School.
Prospective students may also want to check out the following:
- Sceenskills (Creative Skillset) - Key Funding and Development Bodies
- The Leverhulme Arts Scholarship
- British Council or Education UK
- Commonwealth Office Scholarships
