Reflections on the course:
"When I applied for the programme, I was looking for an immersive, professional workshop to explore the fundamentals of filmmaking. I had no prior experience in filmmaking and had never directed before. I wanted to make my first time as a film student as valuable as possible, to learn as much as possible in a short amount of time.
With this summer school, I found the intense learning experience that I was precisely looking for. I learnt a lot, met really interesting people, made a lot of mistakes during the shoots as well, but that is how you get it!
Before the summer school, I did not have enough experience to be sure that I wanted to commit to a career in filmmaking: I now do. Although I realize how much I still have to learn (filmmaking is a long journey that requires time and practice!), I do know that I really want to continue in the field."
