About

I’m a Guatemalan filmmaker, storyteller and photographer. After getting a BA in Business Administration and a Diploma in photography, I managed to get work as a fashion and commercial photographer. One of my projects was a photo reportage centered on the stories from three women that work as housemaids in Guatemala City, titled Mujeres Invisibles (Invisible Women). This turned out to be the seed for my graduation film from The London Film School, called Espacios Vacíos (Empty Spaces).

Empty Spaces

An old woman and her housekeeper live alone in a big house. As the older woman's body starts to betray her, the housekeeper sees to take care of her, changing the boundaries of their relationship. The housekeeper faces the decision to keep her job or go back home.
