Aesthetica win for LFS graduate Petros Silvestros

Congratulations to twice Berlinale Winner Director Petros Silvestros.

Silvestros has just won the Best Thriller Award and Best Short Film of the Festival Award, at the BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival for his short film A Confession.

Aesthetica is the biggest short film festival in UK and A Confession was in competition with more than 300 short films.

Earlier this year Silvestros won for the second time in his career the Crystal Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival.

A Confession tells the story of a mysterious and damaged young man who must confess a terrible sin. What he reveals to the warm hearted priest resonates way beyond the confines of the church – calling into question a relationship that has lasted over 1500 years.

The film will continue its festival career after it has already been screened in more than 15 International Film Festivals.
