London Film School announces year-long digital archive release to mark 70th anniversary
London Film School (LFS) today announces a year-long YouTube archive series to mark its 70th anniversary in 2026, celebrating seven decades of filmmaking talent by releasing a curated selection of its archival films on YouTube throughout the year.
2026 LFS GRADUATE SHOWCASE BOOK
Thanks to everyone who took part in the London Film School Graduate Showcase 2026. The event includes screening 56 films, showcasing the work of 39 scripts and hearing 40 pitches and presentations. The event took place at the BFI Southbank.

London Film School celebrates strong presence at Berlinale 2026

London Film School (LFS) is proud to announce a significant presence at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), with student and alumni work represented across film selection, industry talent programmes, and special anniversary screenings.
"The end product is 6 hours but to get there was years of work. You have to remember your life is the process, don’t chase the final destination so much."
We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with screenwriting alumnus, Samuel Jefferson, who told us all about his journey from grad to co-creator and head writer of the award winning Apple TV Original series, Berlin ER. The series won Best Drama Series and Best Cinematography Fiction (Tim Kuhn and Jieun Yi) at the German Television Awards, and was nominated for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Directing Fiction and Best Editing Fiction – an incredible achievement!
DEAN BAJRAMOVIC'S FIRST FEATURE HAS WON TWO MORE AWARDS
Dean Bajramovic (C. 149) first feature "GANGSTER EXCHANGE" and Production Designed by Ryan Andrews (also C.149) has just won two awards: BEST FILM at Mississauga Independent Film Festival, Canada 8-12th July and BEST FOREIGN FILM at the Action on Film International Film Festival, Pasadena, California, 24-31st July 2009.

Dean has just locked down a deal for "GANGSTER EXCHANGE"s theatrical release, starting with 200 theatres, in the USA, starting on 20th November. It is one of the biggest releases ever for a first time independent Canadian director.
MURIEL D'ANSEMBOURG'S 4TH TERM FILM "PLAY" WINS GRAND PRIZE IN POLISH FESTIVAL
Muriel D'Ansembourg's film "PLAY" 162/4/c 35mm B&W, has just won the "Grand Prix" at the 8th Jan Machulski International Independent Feature Film Festival (formerly known as the International Independent Feature Film Festival Oskariada), 16-19th July 2009, Bialystok, Poland.
The aim of the festival is not only to present the best films but also to reveal different aspects of the phenomenon labeled as independent cinema and its genres from various parts of the world.
PAUL ROBINSON'S SHORT HAS JUST WON TWO MORE AWARDS
Paul Robinson's (C. 156) independent short “Fanatic” has won “Best International Short Film” at the Thailand International Film Festival, Pucket and received a “Jury – Special Mention” at The 7th "In The Palace" International Short Film Festival in Balchik, Bulgaria.
It has also been selected for the Warsaw International Film Festival & has been invited to be shown at “Bumberfest” in Seatle organised by Reel1 SIFF !!
MURIEL D'ANSEMBOURG'S 4TH TERM FILM WINS TWO MORE AWARDS
Muriel D'Ansembourg C.162 4th term film "PLAY" has just won Best Higher Education Drama and Best of Festival film awards at the LICHFIELD INSPIRE FESTIVAL AWARDS, 3-5 July. These awards celebrate the best in student film making throughout the country.
The judging panel included legendary film critic Barry Norman, multi-award winning director Asif Kapadia and award-winning director, writer and photographer, Arran de Moubray.
DUNCAN JONES WINS AT EDINBURGH
Duncan Jones C. 135 first feature "Moon" has scooped the Michael Powell Award for the Best New British Feature at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival, 17-28th June 2009.
