MA Screenwriting graduate Adam Dewar has been selected for the 67th Edinburgh International Film Festival Talent Lab (21 - 24 June).
Drawing on the Festival’s successful track record in talent development, the EIFF Talent Lab will lead 30 participants in group discussions, workshops and networking events, plus 1-2-1 advice and information sessions with experienced industry insiders, all with the aim of honing skills and building confidence within a new generation of filmmakers. Industry guests at Talent Lab include Bankside Films, Vertigo Films, The Salt Company, Film4, Young Films and Slate Films.
Alongside contributing to the award winning short film North Atlantic, Adam's first two screenplays were optioned by independent production companies and he has written and worked for The Digital Fiction Factory, Saltbeef TV, Rankin Film, The Guardian and The New York City Ballet amongst others. Adam is currently working in conjunction with Saltbeef TV on ‘Sticky Content’ a multiplatform television series set in London’s Tech City and with Rankin Film Productions on ‘Hardwire’, a short thriller due to be included as one of the eight shorts in the inaugural Collabor8te scheme.
