Adapting for Cinema Call for Applications Now Open

Adapting for Cinema is a training programme focused on the concept of adaptation, from literature to cinema


12 European participants (4 producers, 4 writers, 4 production designers) will work together in different groups with the support of professional trainers and the mission of adapting 4 books for the screen.

The programme takes place over the course of 6 months in 3 countries. The first workshop on the theory of adaptation is based in Turin, November 2014, during the Torino Film Festival; the second workshop based on finalising the outline, treatment, producers finance plan, budget and visual design in London, February 2015; and a final workshop with pitching technique training, preparing scene for actors and final presentation to a panel of European industry professionals in Budapest, April 2015.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young talent working as either producer, writer or production designer looking to develop their professional skills and discover more about the adaptation process.
