Ali F. Mostafa, 2005 MA filmmaking graduate, won the “Young filmmaker of the year” 2010 at the ‘Digital Studio (magazine) Awards’ for 'City of Life', which had its world premier in the Arabian Nights Gala at the Dubai International Film Festival.
City of Life also won the Special Jury Prize at the Gulf Film Festival (Dubai), where it was the opening film.
City of life broke national records on its commercial release in the UAE cinemas, coming second to Clash of the Titans on the opening box office weekend and 3rd to Iron Man 2 and Clash on the 2nd week!
