The BAFTA TV Craft Awards nominations include several LFS alumni! Congratulations to Gaz Evans for his editing work on A Confession, nominated for Best Mini Series, Jonathan Entwistle on his multi-nominated series End of the F***ing World, and the LFS-heavy crew behind the nominated factual series 8 Days to the Moon and Back: Andrea Vigoni - Assistant Art Director / Shira Haimovici - Graphic Design / Frederico Nobre De Carvalho - Set Dresser / Nia Faussett - Set Dresser / Tim Archibald - Set Dresser / Chelsea Gallagher - Model Maker.

 

LFS grad Ka Ki Wong successfully screened her latest short film Wild Child at the Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival in Hong Kong and collected the festival's main prize, the Fresh Wave Award.

 

Graduate Laura Seward has been made a member of the International Collective of Female Cinematographers.

 

Los Angeles-based Global Genesis Group has picked up worldwide distribution rights to LFS alumna Leticia Tonos’ latest film, A State of Madness.

 

Mireia Graell, from MAF 174, has been featured by Variety as one of Catalonia's Producers on the Rise 2020. Graell is currently co-producing the upcoming feature debut of her fellow alumni Alvaro Gago.

 

Miguel Faus' graduation film Calladita screened online at the Palm Springs International ShortFestAlso in the programme for 2020 was MAF alumna Sofia Bost with her short film Party Day.

Huge congratulations to Andrew Montague whose graduation film My Other Suit is Human will have its world premiere at the Galway Film Festival!

 

MAF alumna Fateme Ahmadi's feature film project Daughter of Adam has been selected for the 2020 Torino FilmLab TFL Next programme.

 

MAS alumnus Rajat Agrawal produced Chippa, a feature film recently released on Netflix India.

 

Alumnus Giorgio Bosisio took home the Best Documentary award for his latest short film A Youth at the first ever virtual Aspen ShortsFest 2020.

Alumnus John Walsh has just published a new book on the American artist and visual effects creator Ray Harryhausen. Harryhausen: The Lost Movies includes never-been-seen-before artwork from the Harryhausen Foundation archives.

 

MAS alumni Jessica Romagnoli and Elaine Gracie, along with MAF alumnus Patrick Ireland, have had projects selected for the inaugural UK Online Pitchbox, launched by Filmarket Hub with support from Film London. Jessica and Patrick will present their script Lady Charon, and Elaine brings the project Wedding Season.

Congratulations to Juri Ferri whose grad film Meidagen took home two awards from the International Short Film Festival Middelburg, reported here in the local press.

An exciting prospect for MAF graduate Rafael Mendoza's feature film aspirations for his graduation short Filipiñana. His producer is taking the project to the Locarno Open Doors Lab.

 

A vital new drama Sitting in Limbo, co-produced by LFS alumna Fiona Lamptey, was released on BBC One. Catch up on BBC iPlayer here.
