Carla Simón's recent LFS graduation film THOSE LITTLE THINGS has been selected for the Beijing Film Academy's International Student Film and Video Festival this October. The film centres around Ana (40) who suffers from achondroplasia - dwarfism - and her mother (70), a beautiful, elegant and sophisticated woman, who has never accepted her daughter’s condition. The muted taboos between the two women resonate more than ever as they prepare the house for the visit of Juan, the son and brother who lives away from home and his new girlfriend.
From October 18-25, 2015, the 14th International Student Film and Video Festival will be held in Beijing Film Academy. The festival is held once year and officially listed in the academy teaching schedule. Selected films will be screened in our 1000-seat Cineplex and student filmmakers will be introduced to the audience during the screening of their films. School representatives and student filmmakers from all over the world gather in ISFVF for a week of program and forum with faculty from BFA.
