Skillset Bursaries
Skillset Film Academy status enables LFS to offer a limited number of means tested bursaries for the MA Filmmaking programme starting January and May 2012. To qualify for a bursary, students must be EU nationals and have been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands throughout the three year period preceding their enrolment
Just some of our recent success stories.
- Three graduates selected to represent their countries for Academy Award selection – Oliver Hermanus (Skoonheid for South Africa), Ann Hui (A Simple Life for Hong Kong) and Leticia Tonos (Love Child for Dominican Republic)
- Work from seven graduates represented at The London Film Festival including Lotus Eaters, Skoonheid, A Simple Life and Destiny Lives Down the Road.
- Two 2011 Academy Award nominations and selections at Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand, Tribeca, Cannes, Locarno, amongst many other festivals
- Graduates accepted on the Cannes Residence, Binger Film Lab, Film London Microwave Scheme, C4 Coming Up.
