Jonathan Entwistle selected for Creative England's iFeatures2 feature scheme

2009 MA Filmmaking graduate Jonathan Entwistle has been selected for Creative England's  iFeatures2 scheme. From over 350 submissions Creative England, together with its partners, the BFI Film Fund, BBC Films and Creative Skillset announced the 16 teams that will make up the iFeatures2 development slate. Each will undergo intensive creative and commercial development as the initiative gears up to greenlight three films into production in early 2013 at budgets of £350,000.
Jonathan's feature Devil Town is set in a sleepy rural town that is rocked by the strange suicide of a quiet new girl. Halifax-based writer/director Jonathan Entwistle’s short film Human Beings (2012) was shortlisted for a 2012 Vimeo Award. He is joined by writer, Ed Aldridge, whose work includes shorts Tan Lines (2007) and Healing (2005), and producer, Dominic Buchanan, who produced Qwerty’s documentary Carrying the Light (2011) and Gimme The Loot (2012), which won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature at this year’s SXSW and screened in Un Certain Regard at Cannes.
