LFS @ Apple: Showcasing Your Film to an Online Audience with BEN ASTON

TUE 24 FEB | 6.30PM | Apple Store, Covent Garden

HE TOOK HIS SKIN OFF FOR ME

Ben Aston’s London Film School graduation film HE TOOK HIS SKIN OFF FOR ME played at festivals worldwide and found an online audience of 1.3 million people.

After graduating with a BA in Philosophy from Kings College London he spent a year freelancing, resulting in a national broadcast that ended up paying for his first term at the London Film School. His mid-course LFS film DINNER AND A MOVIE was selected for the Palm Springs Shortfest 2013, the London Short Film Festival 2013 and the Edinburgh Film Festival 2013; which named him a 'British director of tomorrow'.
HE TOOK HIS SKIN OFF FOR ME premiered at the Palm Springs Shortfest 2014, and has been selected for the BFI London Film Festival, Fantastic Fest and several more. His online short RUSSIAN ROULETTE recently won the jury prize for the Sundance London short film competition and has gone on to be selected for Sundance 2015.
His work is regularly described as poignant, hilarious, heartwarming and terrifying. He is currently in development on a feature project 'John Moves In'  and can otherwise be found squirrelling away on something small and weird on the side.

Join Ben to hear some of his invaluable advice on how to showcase a short film utilising digital platforms. Places are free but you must reserve a place online beforehand.
