MA Filmmaking graduate Ben Cleary has received funding from the Irish Film Board's Frameworks Scheme for his short animation screenplay THE GREAT FALL, to be produced by Michael Algar for Zink Films and directed by Gary O'Neill. The film is centred around a young raindrop's first fall to earth.
The film is set to premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2015.
Now in its 19th year this scheme is dedicated to the production of animated films. The Frameworks scheme has been successful year after year in stimulating ground breaking and innovative work from Irish animators.
The scheme was primarily established to develop new talent and skills in the field of animation and its continued success in encouraging original and new work from Irish animators can be seen in the awards which the successful projects continuously garner on an international stage.
