LFS graduation shorts are in the pink with festival selections, including Francisco Neffe's ROSA (pictured) and Simón Mesa Soto's Cannes Palme d'Or winner LEIDI at Atlanta, and Aslak Danbolt's LAST BASE at Tribeca. MA Screenwriting graduate Kefi Chadwick is also represented at Tribeca, as is MA Filmmaking graduate Paz Fabrega with the premiere of her second feature VIAJE. Ann Hui's THE GOLDEN ERA has five nominations for this year's Asian Film Awards. Pitch Perfect 

Jane Roscoe, LFS Director (pictured), is holding a pitching forum for graduating students, who will present their projects to an industry panel including LFS Chairman Mike Leigh, Tricia Tuttle  (BFI Deputy Head of Festivals), Michael Sackler (producer Rook’s Nest) and Carola Ash (
Director of Europe, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences). The pitching session will be followed by networking drinks. If you would like to be part of the audience and get some tips on what makes a great pitch, click here to request a free place.

Post-Production with Okay Studio

Henry Lloyd-Baker and Nikolaj Belzer, two LFS graduates who set up post-production outfit Okay Studio, will present a session on editing, compositing and grading. Click here to request a free place.

Full-time MA Programmes

MA Filmmaking -

May, Sep, Jan 
Train in all departments, in a working studio, with students from over 30 countries. 
An intensive two-year course in the heart of London, MA Filmmaking trains to a professional level in a full range of filmmaking skills. All our students leave with a portfolio of credits on at least 10 films - usually many more.
We are accepting final applications for May entry from UK/EU applicants. We are also accepting applications for September 2015 and January 2016 entry.

MA Screenwriting - Sep 2015

On the MA Screenwriting you'll build up a significant portfolio of work, including a feature screenplay.

MA International Film Business - Sep 2015 

A new partnership degree between LFS and University of Exeter, the MA International Film Business includes a field trip to the Berlin Film Festival.

BAFTA SCHOLARSHIPS
MA Filmmaking and MA Screenwriting are both eligible for BAFTA Scholarships for UK students, worth up to £10,000. Deadline 12 June. You will need to be offered a place on the course before you apply. More info.

Applications are open for the third version of SERIAL EYES – Experiencing the Writers’ Room, a partnership between the dffb, LFS and the National Film School of Denmark, Over the course of 8 months, from September 2015, the programme offers 12 participants intensive training in new modes of work in development and production of serial formats.

The Film Garage is a new Creative Europe MEDIA workshop created by Scuola Holden in partnership with LFS, with the collaboration of Courmayeur Noir In Festival.
The programme is focused on genre movies, with the aim of helping to resolve underlying script problems. The 9 selected projects will have a full inspection at The Film Garage to check their roadworthiness and prepare them for the journey to production. More info

Exposed! A Practical Guide to Self-Shooting Documentary

Award-winning documentary maker Zillah Bowes helps eight filmmakers take their self-shooting to the next level. Based on a series of practical exercises, this is an opportunity to stretch yourself and gain feedback in a collaborative, positive environment. More info
