Congratulations to LFS alumnus David Rom, who worked as a Cinematographer on BAFTA -nominated show HUMANS. The nominations from the BAFTA Television Awards, which celebrate the best of British and International TV, were announced yesterday. HUMANS gained nominations in both the Best Drama Series and the Radio Times Audience Award, which is voted for by members of the public.
HUMANS is a sci-fi thriller set In a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a 'Synth' - a highly-developed robotic servant that's so similar to a real human it's transforming the way we live. The series is produced jointly by AMC, Channel 4 and Kudos.
Eight episodes were produced for the first series, with a second, eight-episode series scheduled to air later this year.
David's other cinematography credits include the new BBC Three mini-series THIRTEEN, about a woman who escapes domestic captivity, and BANANA, the Russell T. Davies series about the lives of modern LGBT people.
The BATFA Televsion Awards will take place on Sunday 8 May at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
