Muriel d'Ansembourg's GOOD NIGHT wins first prize at the Norwegian Short Film Festival | Rolf Heldal's RIFT gets Special Mention

BAFTA-nominated GOOD NIGHT, graduation film of Muriel d'Ansembourg continues to pick up awards on the festival circuit. At the Norweigian Short Film Festival it received the Aust Agder Youth Award in the category of the International Short Films. The Jury report said:

“There were many great films and we had to discuss long and hard before we agreed on a winner. The film we decided on has a topic which feels very relevant to us. The characters are complex and evolve over the course of the film, and we enjoyed watching the two girls who played the lead roles. The film has a story we can recognize ourselves in. The environment the film is set in combined with the film’s music support creating a universe we believe in and want to see more of. The script is well written and the dialogue realistic. We therefore award the August-Agder Youth Award to Good Night by Muriel d’Ansembourg.”
Another LFS graduation film received praise at the festival. Rift directed by Rolf Christian Heldal received a Special Mention in the category of the Norwegian Short Film.
Muriel d'Ansembourg has been put forward by Creative Skillset as 'One To Watch' in the current MovieScope Magazine issue 34. Read the interview
