LFS alumni Juliano Ribeiro Salgado's SALT OF THE EARTH and Mike Leigh's (also LFS Chairman) MR. TURNER have picked up nominations for the 2015 Oscar Academy Awards.
SALT OF THE EARTH has a Best Documentary Feature nomination and MR. TURNER has garnered Achievement in Cinematography, Costume Design, Music and Production Design nominations. MR. TURNER also picked up 4 BAFTA and 7 London Critics' Circle nominations, with Timothy Spall winning British Actor of the Year at the Critics' Circle as well as Best Actor at Cannes Film Festival last year.
LFS Honorary Associates Richard Linklater's BOYHOOD has nominations for Best Motion Picture of the Year, Achievement in Directing, Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Original Screenplay and Film Editing; and Pawel Pawlikowski's IDA, nominations for Achievement in Cinematography and Best Foreign Language Film.
