PATRIOTS SELECTED FOR NORTHERN SEAS FILM FORUM

LFS graduates Joanna Bence and Fyodor Druzin’s Russian black comedy Patriots has been selected for the Northern Seas Film Forum. This comedy of errors from writer/director Mikhail Mareskin tells the misadventures of two misfits on the run across St Petersburg as they try to dispose of an ill acquired bomb amidst a chaos of Chinese mafia, an Austrian sex journalist in the wrong place at the wrong time, entrepreneurial vegan heroin addicts and exploding exotic birds. The project is a co-production between Joanna Bence and Fyodor Druzin’s UK company, Curb Denizen and Russian based, Digital Visual Synergy.

The Northern Seas Film Forum takes place in St Petersburg, Russia from the 15th to the 17thof September during the St Petersburg International Film Festival.
