Low Budget Film Forum: The Budget is the Aesthetic
Tuesday 16th October 6pm
at LFS, 24 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9UB
For the past 5 years The London Film School has been running the Low Budget Film Forum, an annual pan-European workshop funded through the EU MEDIA Initial Training Programme. LBFF focuses on developing 12 low budget first feature films with participants working in mixed nationality groups via a combination of peer-to-peer group work, tutorials from industry professionals and case studies. This session will expand on some ideas that animate the forum's work: the great generic breadth of positive low budget filmmaking, models of collaborative development and priorities all low budget filmmakers can share.
Chaired by Ben Gibson, (Director and Founder of LBFF), panellists include Hengameh Panahi, (Director at Celluloid Dreams), Gayle Griffiths, (Producer at Wild Horses Films), Luke Schiller, (Producer at Round Table Productions) and Suzy Gillett, (LFS International Relations Manager and Producer of LBFF).
