LFS graduates Chi Yu, Adina Istrate, Giannina LaSalvia, Afia Nkrumah and Enrico Tessarin have had success in securing funding for their shorts from this year's Film London 2013/14 LONDON CALLING and LONDON CALLING PLUS Film Funds.
Nineteen teams have been awarded up to £4,000 through London Calling, open to emerging filmmaking teams resident in the capital. London Calling is delivered with borough partners Haringey, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Redbridge, Southwark, Waltham Forest and Wandsworth, who provide additional opportunities and support to their filmmakers as part of the scheme.
Five teams with a track record across film, television or theatre were awarded up to £15,000 through London Calling Plus. Aiming to champion under represented voices in the capital, London Calling Plus is this year specifically aimed at emerging BAME talent.
Supported by the BFI, Creative Skillset and London borough partners, the funds are part of the BFI NET.WORK.
