Tim Metzger, 2002 graduate, has been nominated for an Oscar in the Documentary Short category for 'Sun Come Up'. Tim is producer and cinematographer on the film.

Sun Come Up follows the relocation of some of the world’s first environmental refugees, the Carteret Islanders – a community living on a remote island chain in the South Pacific Ocean. When rising seas threaten their survival, the islanders face a painful decision: they must leave their beloved land in search of a new place to call home.
To make the most of any attention we receive from the Oscars, we've also launched a fundraising campaign to raise money for the islanders in our film, towards building new homes on their relocation sites. Since leaving London I've been based in NYC and been shooting around the world, mostly for Discovery Channel (currently DP for the Discovery/Dreamworks series "Rebuilding Ground Zero" which will air as a 6-part series this summer leading to the 10th anniversary of 9/11.)
