Wasteworld to Screen at Long Island Film Festival

We are delighted to announce that WASTEWORLD, a graduation short film from Writer/Director and LFS Alumnus Andrea Niada, will be screened as part of the Long Island Film Festival in September 2016.

WASTEWORLD (2014) is a short psychological horror film. It was shot over a period of four days on a custom-built set made up of more than 1500 bin bags, with all the special effects created in camera, including live projected animation on an eight-foot screen. Previously, the film has been accepted into the 11th San Francisco Frozen Film Festival and 19th Brooklyn Film Festival. Other LFS Alumni working on the film are: Cinematographer Riccardo Angelucci, Producer/Editor Oliver Sunley.

About San Francisco Frozen Film Festival

The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival was named by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the '20 coolest festivals in the world'. The Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), is an International, competitive festival. Its mission is to provide a public forum in Brooklyn in order to advance public interest in films and the independent production of films. 

The festival ran from the 3-12th of June in New York.
