Pratyusha Gupta

About

Pratyusha was born in Madras, India. She has worked in documentary, television and advertising in Mumbai for over six years. Born to parents from very different communities in India, Pratyusha has always been fascinated by questions of identity, class and religion - themes that dominate her films.

She graduated with an MA in Filmmaking (Direction) from the London Film School in March 2013 with her graduation film Safar. She is currently researching and shooting a short documentary film while preparing a feature-length film as a writer/director. 

Pratyusha also has a Master's degree in Anthropology of Media at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Madras.
