Naina Panemanglor

About

Naina was born and raised in Pune, India. After completing a BA in Psychology and a PG Diploma in Social Communication Media, Naina worked in advertising for 2 years and then moved into directing music videos, promos and shorts. She joined the London Film School in 2010, keen to sharpen her technical skills and to learn the art of storytelling through image.

In March 2013, Naina graduated with an MA in Filmmaking (Direction) with her film Odh. She's currently back in India assisting on an independent feature film as well as developing her own feature idea.

Naina finds her inspirations in the mundane and daily lives of people. Through her films she tries to bring alive such stories by creating the extraordinary out of the ordinary, giving vibrancy to the dull.

Odh

‘Odh’ is a Marathi short film about Dinya, who runs away from his village to see the sea for the first time. Along the way, he finds himself with an unwanted companion, his little sister, Kamli. Will Dinya be able to find what he had set out for?
