David Henrichs studied English Literature and Philosophy at the university in his hometown, Amsterdam. During his studies he started collaborating with young filmmakers, co-writing their screenplays. After getting his Bachelors degree David started working in the Dutch film industry in different positions. He was an assistant editor for a feature film and worked at the script development department of a major Dutch production company. All the while he remained co-writing on several projects. To further develop his screenwriting skills he applied for the MA Screenwriting at the LFS in 2012. After graduating he has continued collaborating with several LFS filmmaking students and graduate screenwriters. Aside from his UK activities, he also works in the Netherlands forming a creative team with a Dutch/Iranian director. For David, collaboration is the key to creative success and it’s this aspect that draws him into film the most.
