Nathan Farrow

About

Born in Sydney, Nathan's eclectic background includes theatrical performance, bookstores, museology, and heritage tourism. During undergraduate study at the University of Sydney he read film and animation theory, archaeology, and medieval studies including medieval Icelandic language and culture, rounded off with a Postgraduate Diploma of Museum Studies. He has completed two certificates in Screen & Media Production at TAFE NSW. Passionate about comedy, fantasy, and horror, he lists among his diverse influences David Webb Peoples, Ridley Scott, Stephen Moffat, Clive Barker, Jim Henson, George Miller, The Marx Brothers, and especially Terry Gilliam.

Nathan's major work for the year was Gyroscope, a dieselpunk pre-war thriller about a British mathematician blackmailed into the murderous world of espionage.

Nathan is currently seeking support for Drift, the short and touching tale of a lonely man who finds solace in his relationship with the severed head of a pig fished out of a canal.
