About
Yosuke Kato was born in Nagoya, Japan in 1977.
He studied at Waseda University, where he received BA in literature, and started his career as an assistant at Pyramid Film in Tokyo. After working on numerous commercials, he went on to study at the London Film School in UK, where he specialized in cinematography and refined his artistic craft as a filmmaker.
Kato has directed photography on three independent features and many shorts in several countries. Since 2008, he also has been working on commercials, music videos, and documentaries, as a Cinematographer/Camera Operator.
He is currently based in Yokohama, Japan.
