
About
Emre was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey. After a BA in Law, he started to work within the film industry in various production roles, moving into cinematography and establishing himself as a cinematographer after following the traditional route up through the camera department. Since then he has worked in commercials, promo videos and various short films which have screened and won prizes at international film festivals.
Following that he realized his dream of becoming a director and after his acceptance into the London Film School to complete his Masters studies, he moved to London. Since then he has made two shorts which have been screened at festivals around the globe. In September 2014, he received his MA Filmmaking (Distinction) with his graduation film The Translator.
Currently, he is trying to make The Translator shine on the festival circuit and is writing his first feature.
