Aliénor Duplessis

About

Aliénor was born in the Champagne region of France and later moved to Paris. She studied the Japanese language and Civilisation at the Institute of Oriental Languages (INALCO) and earned a Master's degree in American Civilisation from the Sorbonne University with her dissertation on the representation of Japan in American cinema.

After seeing a bit of the world, including Japan, Argentina and New York, Aliénor moved to London in May 2011 to attend the London Film School. There, she directed three short films including her graduation film I Don't Love You Anymore in July 2013 and developed a deep interest in sound. Having worked as a sound recordist and/or boom operator on many LFS graduation films, Aliénor now works as a freelance sound recordist and continues developing scripts that mix drama and supernatural elements.
