Oliver Cottam

About

Oliver grew up first in West Yorkshire and then Herefordshire. He attended Dartington College of Arts during 2005-2008, studying Fine Art at BA level. During this time he developed a particular interest in the symbolic and rhythmical aspects of the moving image.

He then chose to study at the London Film School during 2011 - 2014 in order to develop an understanding of the theory and practice of narrative filmmaking.

Oliver is currently living in London, teaching the piano part-time and developing a short film script with a friend. For the next few years he intends to write, direct and photograph short narrative films and art projects in order to experiment and further develop his understanding of film form and production.
