About
Born in sunny California, Kelly and her fair skin have come to greatly appreciate London’s famous grey skies. An admirer of both history and comedy, her work is often a quirky blend of the two in which she counts writer/directors Mel Brooks, Wes Anderson, the Coen brothers and the Canadian sketch comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall as influences.
In addition to her MA at LFS, Kelly holds degrees in Musical Theatre Writing and Dramatic Writing from New York University and San Francisco State University. Her thesis musical DIZZY: The Fantastical Musical Tale of Benjamin Disraeli was one of two musical scripts selected for production at the Tisch School of the Arts’ Summer Musical Theatre Festival in New York City.
Now a resident of the UK, Kelly is currently developing projects for television and radio.
