Debashis 'Remy' Dalai was born in Paris, France and brought up between India, Europe and Africa. He attained his BA in Journalism and Mass Communication in India and it was here that he developed his interest in the visual aspects of filmmaking.  He pursued his interest in the visual field by doing his Masters in Filmmaking at the London Film School where he concentrated on Cinematography while getting an overall education on film. 

Remy has shot films on a variety of formats ranging from S16mm - 35mm to the industry standard digital systems like the Arri Alexa and Red Epic. He has since returned to India and has been working on short films and TVCs while assisting on feature films.
