Eli Kasavi was born in Istanbul, Turkey in November 1986. He studied Film and TV at the Istanbul Bilgi University in Turkey. During his BA studies, he worked as assistant director and also assistant art director for TV commercials. His first short fiction film DÖNEK, which was also his BA thesis, was nominated for the 46th Antalya Golden Orange Award. He continued his education at the London Film School where two of his projects were selected for screening at the National Gallery’s website. Coming of Age is his MA thesis project.
